I started Couples Therapy Inc. over a decade ago because I wanted a cohort of other professionals passionate about practicing expert couples therapy. I also wanted a diverse team that captured the richness of the couples I saw. I would go through literally 1000 resumes to find one special clinician who was a fanatic about seeing couples. As a group, I valued clinicians who spoke multiple languages and if they had lived in a variety of countries, all the better.
I also wanted to like the people I hired. I was already a seasoned clinician when I started this organization, and I was protective of my time. I wanted to work with them if I liked and trusted this person. If I didn’t, it didn’t matter how many letters they had after their names, if I didn’t want to spend my time with them, I didn’t hire them. Therefore, I think you’ll be hard-pressed to find a disagreeable, entitled, or overall unpleasant person in this group.
The administrative team is just as skilled and dedicated as my clinical team. They work hard to fit you with the right clinician and are there for you throughout the process.
I believe the following:

- When your communities are strong, your country and world are better places.
